Nha Trang (The Champa territory of Kauthara)
-Kauthara was home to much wildlife including tigers, elephants, and had abounding fish
-In the 4th Century CE the Kingdom of Champa embraced Hinduism
-The Chams dedicated the temples to the Hindu god Shiva and to Champa god-kings
-This tower (Po Nagar) was dedicated to both Hindu and Buddhist deities; built before 781 CE
-The religous offerings and prayer performed inside the temple

Phan Rang (The Champa Panduranga)
-Panduranga was the last Champa territory to be annexed by the Vietnamese in 1832
-The first signs of Islam appeared in Champa around the 11th century likely due to influx of Arab, Persian, and Gujerati traders
-The tower of Po klaung garai may have been built at the end of the 13th century
-Legend has it the Khmers to the west tried to invade Champa. The Champa King settled the matter with a tower building contest. The Chams won with this tower
-The ingenious use of red bricks without any binding mortar still befuddles archeologists to this day
-The Cham script evolved from the influence of the Brahimi script from India

Mui Ne (Still within the Champa territory of Panduranga)
-Mui Ne is known as the resort capital of Vietnam with scenic beaches and sand dunes
-The temples of Mui Ne were built in the 8th century and are among the oldest standing today
